..hosts Ose Students’ Association

Ondo State Commissioner for Information and Orientation, Hon. Idowu Ajanaku, has restated his commitment to the development of Ose Local Government Area, assuring that the Aiyedatiwa-led administration will continue to prioritise the needs of the region.

Ajanaku gave the assurance on Wednesday while receiving members of the Ose Students’ Association of Nigeria, who paid a courtesy visit to the Ministry.

Welcoming the delegation, the Commissioner commended the students for their sincerity, courage, and passion for the progress of Ose. He noted that the infrastructural challenges confronting the area have remained a major concern for him since assuming office.

Ajanaku reassured the students that Governor Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa is committed to ensuring even development across the state. He disclosed that the Ikun–Afo Road project has undergone an upward review to enable contractors deliver quality work, while the Afo–Idoani Road has been included in the 2026 budget—clear indications of government’s renewed attention to the region.

According to him, the state government has also set up a committee to identify urgent developmental needs in Irekari for swift intervention. He emphasised that sustained progress requires collective effort, urging stakeholders—including youth groups—to work together in advancing the growth of Ose Local Government.

Earlier, the President of the Association, Mr. Ajibua Emmanuel, praised the Commissioner for his accessibility and commitment to grassroots development. He also briefed Ajanaku on the Association’s planned Education Summit and Spelling Bee competition for secondary schools in Ose Local Government, requesting partnership and support for the initiative.

The Association’s Senate President, Mr. Obasanya Monday, also commended Ajanaku for the transformation of the state’s media and information architecture, noting that government communication has become more coherent and engaging under his leadership.

Other members of the delegation pledged their readiness to support the Commissioner in publicising the achievements of the present administration.

Responding, Ajanaku pledged both financial and moral support for the proposed Education Summit and Spelling Bee, describing the initiative as timely and beneficial to the educational advancement of the Irekari axis.
