Prince Bankole Adeyefa has been chosen as the new Elemure of Emure-Ile in Owo Local Government Area of Ondo State.
Adeyefa emerged Oba-elect after securing four out of five votes cast by the town’s kingmakers during the selection process. The outcome was announced by the Olori Ebi, Prince Omotosho, and monitored by officials from the Owo Local Government.
The Oba-elect is a direct son of the immediate past monarch, late Oba Simeon Adedubaje Adeyefa, who joined his ancestors in March 2025.
Until his selection, Prince Adeyefa served as a Senior Procurement Officer at the Olusegun Agagu University of Science and Technology (OAUSTECH), Okitipupa. His nomination is subject to approval by the Ondo State Executive Council.
A seasoned academic and professional, Adeyefa has studied at several institutions, including Ladoke Akintola University of Technology, Ogbomoso; Achievers University, Owo; Adekunle Ajasin University, Akungba-Akoko; Rufus Giwa Polytechnic, Owo; Ipenmen Community Grammar School, Ipenmen; and Our Saviour Anglican Primary School, Emure-Ile.
He holds a Master of Business Administration (MBA) in Procurement and Supply Chain, a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration, and a Postgraduate Diploma in Financial Management. He has worked across various public institutions and currently serves in the Ondo State university system.
