..says political office not for self-aggrandizement

A chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Ondo State, Mr. Moyosola Niran-Oladunni, has urged political leaders to prioritise meaningful impact over social media appearances and attendance at social events.

Niran-Oladunni gave the charge while emphasising the need for purposeful and result-oriented leadership that addresses societal challenges and improves the lives of the people.

According to him, leadership is measured by impact, and not by social media noise or constant appearances at social gatherings.

He stressed the need for political leaders to focus on providing innovative solutions to the problems affecting citizens, rather than flaunting photographs from events they attended online.

He noted that true performance is not determined by popularity on digital platforms but by tangible outcomes that benefit the masses.

His words: “Political leaders should stop mistaking the attendance of social events and photographs on social media as performance.
“Leadership is not about noise but impact”.

The APC chieftain further advised public office holders to stop celebrating their positions as personal achievements, reminding them that holding office is a call to serve and not a platform for self-aggrandizement.
