The Ondo State chapter of the Association of Communication Scholars and Professionals (ACSPN), has expressed confidence in the capacity of the new commissioner for Information and Orientation, Mr Idowu Ajanaku to reposition the ministry to drive effective public enlightenment and engagement with media stakeholders.

This was contained in statement jointly signed by Chairman of the Association, Sunday Kolawole and the Secretary, Richard Ilesanmi to congratulate the new commissioner.

It described Mr Ajanaku’s appointment as both deserving and strategic, considering his professional background and long-standing engagements with public communication.

The body of scholars, researchers and media professionals believed the new commissioner’s wealth of experience, especially in journalism and public affairs, will strengthen government-media relations and enhance citizen access to timely and credible information.

ACSPN promised to collaborate with his ministry to enhance media literacy, strategic communication and institutional research with a view to promoting civic engagement in the state.

Mr Ajanaku, who hails from Idogun in Ose local government area was among the 16 commissioners Inaugurated by Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa last Monday.
