The All Progressives Congress (APC) in Ondo State has expressed deep sorrow over the death of former President Muhammadu Buhari, describing him as a disciplined leader and patriotic Nigerian who served the nation with integrity.

In a statement issued on Sunday by its Publicity Secretary, Alex Kalejaye, the party paid glowing tributes to the late statesman, highlighting his unwavering commitment to accountability and transparency throughout his public life.

“President Buhari was a firm and principled leader, admired for his zero tolerance for corruption and modest lifestyle. These values were evident in his approach to governance, both as a military head of state and as a democratic leader,” the statement read.

The party noted that Buhari’s efforts toward preserving Nigeria’s unity, restoring democratic values, and fostering national development would remain unforgettable.

“His contributions to the growth of democracy and economic development of Nigeria cannot be overemphasized. He was genuinely devoted to building a better Nigeria,” it added.

The Ondo APC extended condolences to the family of the late president and prayed for Allah’s mercy on his soul.

“May the Almighty Allah forgive his shortcomings, grant him eternal rest, and comfort the family and nation he left behind,” the statement concluded.
