..bags Honorary Membership and Service Award
A seasoned security expert and philanthropist, Mr. Femi Meshe, has thrown his weight behind the 2025–2026 Projects of the Rotary Club of Akure with a generous donation of two million naira (N2,000, 000), marking a major boost to the club’s humanitarian interventions in the new Rotary year.
Meshe, who is the Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of Inter-Atlas Synergy Limited, made the donation during the investiture ceremony of Rotarian Gbadebo Sheun Oyewo as the 45th President of the Rotary Club of Akure, and fundraising of ICT Centre at Imafon Community Secondary School.
The philanthropist pledged N1,000,000 towards the club’s Star Project(the establishment of an ICT centre at Imafon Community Secondary School), a sum of N500,000 to sponsor the vocational training of ten young school leavers, and additional N500,000 as financial assistance to traders and widows.
The vocational empowerment initiative and widows empowerment are parts of the seven focus projects proposed by the Oyewo-led administration.
In recognition of his contributions to societal development and security, Meshe was inducted as an honorary member of the club and presented with an Outstanding Service Award.

Delivering his acceptance speech, Meshe recounted how the values of selfless service—championed by Rotary—had shaped his journey from his early days in Akure to his professional contributions to global security.
“Right from my early days of spending holidays with my grandparents here in Akure, my journey—from the classrooms of Oyemekun Grammar School to the corridors of global law enforcement—has been guided by the core values that Rotary holds so dear: Service Above Self, fellowship, and the unwavering pursuit of a better world,” he said.
He recalled his return to Nigeria in May 2014 at the instruction of the UK Government, where he led a Scotland Yard Counter-Terrorist team to assist Nigerian security forces during the Chibok schoolgirls’ abduction, underscoring his belief that “securing the country starts with securing the future of our children”—a mission Rotary also champions through youth-focused projects.
Meshe lauded the impact of the Rotary Club of Akure, describing its legacy of service as one that touches lives in tangible ways.
“Here in Akure, your projects have inspired hope—from literacy campaigns to health initiatives that transform lives in our rural communities. These milestones are not just lines in a newsletter but legacies written on the hearts of real people: mothers, fathers, and future leaders.”
He concluded with an inspiring story of a young Nigerian boy he once met during a crisis response, whose resilience and hope in the face of hardship reminded him of the core values of service and selflessness.
“That spirit—of stepping forward, of helping, even when it is hard—is what defines the Rotary Club. It is what defines Ondo”, Meshe said, as he pledged continued support for service-driven initiatives.
