The African Eagle is a majestic creature. It is endowed with many virtues. It’s majesty reflects it’s powerful and regal presence, it is regal which embodies it’s noble and dignified presence. The Eagle is powerful which typifies its strength and dominance, it is visionary which proves it’s great eyesight, foresight and clarity. The Eagle is fearless which connotes it’s bravery and courage in action.

Next Tuesday when Senator Bode Olajumoke, Ph.D would be 81years on mother earth, distinguished Nigerians will converge at the International Culture Centre, The Dome in Akure, to celebrate a living legend.

This convergence will feature what could be referred to as men who share the attributes of the majestic Eagle. Each of these personalities who could be regarded as some of our best provides a cross and complement virtue to properly situate the man been celebrated. I confess they were carefully and deliberately chosen to reflect and provide a window to the personality of the celebrant.

This momentous occasion will feature a Public Lecture,  ” *Conquerors, Conquered, and Consequences: A Discourse on Brain Drain,”* to be delivered by Dr. Olusegun Mimiko, former Governor of Ondo State.

The event will be chaired by Senator Jimoh Ibrahim, a renowned academic and serving Senator, who will preside over the gathering. Other notable attendees include Dr. Bunmi Tunji-Ojo, Minister of Interiors, known for his innovative approach and transformative leadership, who will serve as the Guest of Honor. His Excellency, Governor Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa, has also confirmed his presence as the Special Guest of Honor, demonstrating his respect for Senator Olajumoke’s dedication to serving humanity.

The Royal Host for the occasion will be His Royal Majesty, Oba Dr. Yusuf Adebori Adeleye, OON, Olubaka and Paramount Ruler of Oka Kingdom.

This gathering of Nigerian icons is a testament to Senator Olajumoke’s enduring impact on society. His commitment to human dignity, values, and service has earned him the respect and admiration of esteemed individuals from various walks of life.

As we celebrate Senator Olajumoke’s life and legacy, we honour his contributions to the nation and his unwavering commitment to the well-being of humanity.
