The Akure Community Muslim Women has set to make history with the official commissioning of Manzilu Mustaqbalin-Nayyir Lil-Muslimaat Bi-Madeenati Akure (Bright Future Home), the first Muslim creche and orphanage home in the city.
The commissioning ceremony is scheduled to take place on Saturday, June 28, 2025 in Akure, the Ondo State capital, by 9:00 a.m.
In a statement issued by the Chairman, Media Sub-Committee for the Commissioning, Alhaji Lai Gidado, the landmark event is expected to draw several high-profile dignitaries include the Governor of the state, Hon. Lucky Aiyedatiwa, as the special guest of honour.
Other notable guests include the Senator representing Ondo Central Senatorial District, Senator Adeniyi Adegbonmire, who will serve as Chairman of the occasion, while Alhaja Kudirat Gbadamosi as the chairperson of the day.
Dr. (Mrs.) Seun Osamaye, the state Commissioner-designate, and Hon. Ayodele Olawande, Minister of Youth and Sports Development, will also be present as guests of honour.
The Secretary to the Ekiti State Government, Alhaja (Dr.) Abibat Adubiaro, is the Mother of the Day, while the Chief Executive Officer of Fortunate Bread, Alhaji Jimoh Adejumo, will be honoured as father of the day.
Also expected are Hon. Abiola Makinde, Member of the House of Representatives representing Ondo East/Ondo West Federal constituency as special guest; the Osolo of Isolo, Akure, Oba Edward Adewole, as the royal host; and the Deji of Akure, Oba Aladetoyinbo Ogunlade Aladelusi (Odundun II), as the royal father of the day.
The Chief Imam of Akure Kingdom, Alhaji Abdulhakeem Yayi-Akorede as the chief host.
The project aims to provide a nurturing and supportive environment for Muslim children, especially orphans, in Akure and the surrounding communities.
