Ondo state Youths Network (OSYN) kicked off activities to mark its ten years anniversary in Akure on Monday with a walk tagged ‘Youth for Youth’.
The Walk, which commenced at the Fasoranti democracy park Alagbaka to the Deji of Akure’s Palace, terminated at the State’s House of Assembly complex.
At the Deji’s Palace where they were received by the Chief of Staff to the Akure monarch, Chief Wole Toyin, the OSYN Coordinator, Afe Gboyega noted that the Walk was to appreciate the achievements of notable youths in the state who were making the State proud in their various leadership positions, some of whom are members of OSYN.

He commended the Governor of the state, Lucky Aiyedatiwa for appointing youths to serve in his administration.
He also appreciated the Deji of Akure for fostering peaceful coexistence in the city.
Responding, the Deji’s Chief of Staff also commended the youths for allowing peace to reign, stating that youths are the major drivers of a peaceful environment.

The group, which comprises membership across the 18 local government areas of State state, organized the walk in honour of special personalities like the Governor, and the two Federal Ministers from the state, Olubunmi Tunji-Ojo and Ayo Wisdom, whose pictures dominate the Walk’s flags.

The 10th anniversary continues tomorrow with a friendly match between OSYN and the Sports Writers Association of Nigeria, SWAN.
