Mr. Idowu Ajanaku, a commissioner-designate in Ondo State, has pledged to deploy his extensive experience in media and strategic communication to support the developmental agenda of Governor Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa.

Speaking with journalists shortly after his screening by the Ondo State House of Assembly, Ajanaku expressed profound gratitude to the governor for the opportunity to serve.

“I sincerely thank His Excellency, Dr. Lucky Aiyedatiwa, for finding me worthy of this appointment. It is both a personal honour and a call to serve the people of Ondo State. I am fully committed to contributing meaningfully to the progress and growth of our beloved state,” he stated.

Ajanaku, a veteran journalist and political strategist, boasts over 15 years of experience with reputable national dailies, including The Vanguard and The Guardian. He is widely known for his robust communication skills and political acumen.

His previous public service roles include Senior Special Assistant on Media and Strategy to former Lagos State Governor, Babatunde Raji Fashola, and later, Special Adviser on Information and Strategy to Governor Akinwunmi Ambode. In these capacities, he was instrumental in shaping public opinion and executing high-level communication strategies.

Analysts view his nomination as a calculated move by Governor Aiyedatiwa to strengthen public engagement, improve government visibility, and drive ongoing development efforts.

As he awaits confirmation by the Assembly, there are high expectations that Ajanaku will play a pivotal role in promoting the image and achievements of the administration, while deepening transparency and fostering citizen participation in governance.
