Residents of Ore, the administrative center of Odigbo Local Government Area in Ondo State, were thrown into panic following the brutal killing of a commercial motorcyclist, Nazifi Ibrahim, by unidentified attackers.

The tragic event occurred around 10:40 p.m. on Alafia Street, situated along the Ore/Benin Expressway.

According to an eyewitness, Ibrahim, a native of Northern Nigeria, had just conveyed a passenger to the area when he was attacked and killed by suspected motorcycle thieves.

“We are unsure of what happened between him and the attackers before he was fatally shot,” the source said.

His body has since been laid to rest in Ore in accordance with Islamic customs.

A police source who spoke with our correspondent confirmed the incident, said that investigations are underway to identify, apprehend, and prosecute those responsible.
