..says wives are not supposed to be slaves

..enjoins couples to be united in thoughts and deeds

The Pastor in charge of the Acts of Apostles Church Inc. Mount Olive, Idanre, Reverend John Temitope Alomaja, had recently during a programme in his church decried the current rates of divorce and separation between couples in the country and noted that it has destructive and negative consequences on the nation.
Rev. Alomaja, who is the Vice Chairman of Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN) Idanre Local Government Chapter, said that there should be oneness, mutual understanding, sharing of ideas and plans while both should open up on the finances coming up to the family.

The Clergyman, condemned ill treating and beating of wives under any guise as he went on to say that wives are not supposed to be treated as slaves but rather as partners in progress and companions. According to him, God had not given husbands any right to be oppressing and cheating their wives because they are the heads of the family.

He charged parents to come together as one in order to be able to perform the God ordained roles of proper upbringing of children so that there will be drastic reduction in the rate of criminal activities and insecurity in the nation.
