..says good governance needs no adverts
The Managing Chief Executive of CUBEGROUP and chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Ondo State, Mr. Moyosola Niran-Oladunni, has called on political leaders and wealthy Nigerians to emulate the teachings of Jesus Christ by using their positions to serve and sacrifice for the nation.
In his Easter message to Nigerians, Niran-Oladunni decried what he described as the “filthy accumulation” of public wealth by some leaders, urging a return to value-driven leadership founded on goodwill and selflessness.
“Good governance doesn’t need ads, just like goodwill. “Poverty is a disease that filthy accumulation of material resources cannot cure. It is more innate and deals more with values than material possessions,” he stated.
Moyosola Niran-Oladunni stressed that leadership should be seen as a privilege and an opportunity to make sacrifices for the betterment of the country rather than a platform for personal enrichment.
Citing instances of former public office holders who continue to lead party delegations to conventions seeking financial assistance from aspirants, Niran-Oladunni said such actions reflect a deeper problem, which is poverty of the mind and soul.
“No matter what they have accumulated filthily, they will eternally suffer from poverty of the mind and soul,” he added.
He urged leaders across all levels to reflect on the true message of Easter and realign themselves with principles that promote integrity, service, and compassion for the people.
He extended his warm felicitations to Christians on the occasion of this year’s Easter celebration, urging them to reflect Christ-like virtues in their daily conduct.
