..applauds PWDs’ Courage, Achievements
Hon. Mrs. Nifemi Aregbesola Wadel, the Founder of Beyond Challenges, has praised the resilience and determination of Persons with Disabilities (PWDs) while marking the 2024 International Day of Persons with Disabilities.
In her speech, Aregbesola highlighted the vital role of Beyond Challenges, an organization dedicated to empowering individuals with disabilities, as a beacon of hope and inclusivity.
“Today, we gather to celebrate the resilience, determination, and triumph of all Persons with Disabilities and our wonderful organization, Beyond Challenges. This extraordinary group embodies the spirit of inclusivity and empowerment,” she said.
The founder emphasised the organization’s commitment to accessibility and equality, describing its members as “champions of a more just society, breaking down barriers and shattering stereotypes.”
She further emphasized the transformative impact of the collective efforts of PWDs and their advocates, noting that their actions and achievements pave the way for a brighter future.
“Your Beyond Challenges vest is a badge of honor, symbolizing your unrelenting passion for a world where everyone can thrive. We salute your courage, your strength, and your unbreakable bond,” she remarked.
The International Day of Persons with Disabilities is observed annually to promote the rights and well-being of PWDs and to raise awareness of the challenges they face in creating an inclusive and equitable society.
