..charges graduands to be focused

The General Overseer of the Mountain of Fire and Miracles Ministries, Prof. Daniel Kolawole Olukoya, today received an Honorary Doctoral Degree in Management Science from the Federal University of Technology, Akure (FUTA).

Highlighting Olukoya’s contributions to scientific research, the FUTA management disclosed that he has significantly supported the institution through the donation of a microbiology complex.

The honor was conferred on him during the 34th and 35th convocation ceremonies of FUTA.

Olukoya is a first-class graduate of Microbiology from the University of Lagos and the first Nigerian to earn a PhD in Molecular Genetics from United Kingdom.

In his response, Olukoya described the award as symbolic, noting that both his physical and educational journeys began in Akure.

He urged the graduands to remain focused, reflecting on his own educational journey as a child from a poor background whose parents struggled financially to pay his tuition fees of N60 at the University of Lagos. Despite the challenges, he remained determined and succeeded against all odds.

Olukoya expressed his gratitude to the FUTA management for the honor and prayed for the progress and advancement of the institution.
