Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa of Ondo State has sacked his recently appointed Special Assistant on Forestry, Mr. Adeboye Taofiq Ewenla.

This came as a result of a leaked audio conversation between the Aide and one of the top timber contractors in the state who recorded the conversation where Ewenla demanded for N30million bribe.

Evidence of the conversation was circulated on whatsapp groups yesterday with a caption thus:

“His full name is Adeboye Taofiq Ewenla
aka Adedibu. Recently appointed Special Assistant to Governor Ayedatiwa on forestry representing Ondo Central Senatorial district claiming that Governor Ayedatiwa sent him to collect a sum of 30 million naira from Timber traders before they could be allowed to operate”.
