Nairobi, Kenya – A Catholic priest, identified as Joseph Kariuki Wanjiku, 43, tragically passed away in a hotel in Nairobi after spending the night with his girlfriend.

The incident occurred at the Monalisa Hotel Dellview, located in Gatanga, Nairobi.

According to reports, the catholic priest checked into the hotel with his companion on Friday night. The following morning, around 8:00 AM on Saturday, the woman raised the alarm after noticing that the priest had become dizzy and was losing consciousness.

The hotel management acted quickly, rushing the priest to Kenol Hospital. However, he was pronounced dead on arrival.

The news of the priest’s death has shocked the community, with many people expressing their condolences on social media. Tina Kaloki, a mourner, wrote, “Condolences to his family and the church. Rest in peace, priest.” Another, Faith K Mwania, added, “He was such a good preacher; he used to visit our church in Donholm.”

Authorities are continuing their investigation into the circumstances surrounding the priest’s death.
