*OUTCOME OF THE SALARY MEETING  BETWEEN ONDO STATE GOVERNMENT AND ORGANISED LABOUR HELD ON TUESDAY, 27TH AUGUST, 2024 AT THE COCOA CONFERENCE HALL, GOVERNOR’S OFFICE, ALAGBAKA, AKURE.*

The meeting was chairman by the Head of Service, Comrade Bayo Phillip, and his co- chairman Comrade Ademola Olapade. Others in attendance were the Accountant General and his team, Industrial Relations Officers from the Office of Establishment and Trainings, Chairmen and Secretaries of various industrial unions from NLC & TUC.

The Accountant General read the analysis of the state income and expenditure from the FAAC to the whole house.

*AUGUST 2024 SALARY AND PENSION*
It was agreed that 100% August 2024 salary and pension should be paid immediately while subventions payment to tertiary institutions should be effected as well.

*WAGE AWARD AND PALLIATIVE FOR PENSIONERS AND STATE OWNED TERTIARY INSTITUTIONS*
It was agreed that wage award should be paid to workers as well as palliative to pensioners and state owned tertiary institutions staff.

*HAZARD ALLOWANCE*
Government pleaded with the State Health Workers to exercise more patience over the payment of their hazard allowance.

*2024 LEAVE BONUS*
Approval for the payment of 2024 leave bonus would be sought from Mr. Governor and payment would be made after the approval.

*OWENA PRESS*
It was discussed that the monthly allocation to Owena Press (The Hope newspaper) can no longer cater for publication, salary payment and other expenses of the media outfit and the Government pledged to look into it positively to enable it to continue to serve the people of Ondo state effectively.

*NEW MINIMUM WAGE*
It was agreed that the state Government should set up its own Negotiating committee to meet with that of the Labour to fasttrack implementation of the N70,000 minimum wage.
