Her Excellency, Chief Betty Anyanwu-Akeredolu (Ada Owere I), former First Lady of Ondo State has expressed profound sadness and a deep sense of loss over the passing of Sir Engr. Emmanuel Iwuanyanwu (Ahaejiejemba), who departed this life at the ripe age of 82.
In a heartfelt condolence message, Chief Anyanwu-Akeredolu remembered Sir Iwuanyanwu as a beloved leader whose kindness, wisdom, and guidance had a profound impact on her political journey. She recalled how he welcomed her with open arms, offered invaluable counsel, and encouraged her to push forward as a woman in politics.
Chief Anyanwu-Akeredolu also fondly remembered Sir Iwuanyanwu’s admiration for her late husband, who served as Leader of the Southern Governors in Nigeria. She noted that Sir Iwuanyanwu spoke highly of his service to the nation and held him in high esteem, demonstrating his respect for those who served with integrity and dedication.
The condolence message highlighted Sir Iwuanyanwu’s remarkable life and legacy, including his tireless efforts as President General of Oha n’ Eze ndigbo, his impact on Nigeria’s political landscape, and his contributions to philanthropy, entrepreneurship, and sports development.
