The management of Dangote Industries Limited, DIL, describes the fire outbreak as a minor incident.

The fire outbreak actually occurred on Wednesday and cause was not revealed.

The fire which the management said was contained reportedly occurred at its Effluent Treatment Plant, ETP.

In a statement by its Group Chief Branding and Communication Officer, Mr. Anthony Chiejina, DIL said the company is in operation and that there was no injury recorded during the incident.

“There is no cause for alarm as the refinery is operating and there is no recorded injury or body harm to any of our staff on duty,” the management statement reads in part. ###
