In a recent primary election of the ruling All Progressives Congress, APC, Party in Ondo State, the Kalesanwa socio-political group emerged as a pivotal force, throwing its weight behind the candidacy of Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa.

Led by Mr. Moyosola Niran-Oladunni, the group actively supported his aspiration citing a desperate need for change after years of political stagnation.

Highlighting a history of disappointment in past political activities since 1999, the group expressed hope that their candidate’s victory would mark a turning point for the state.

The primary election, which saw a significant margin of victory for their supported candidate, was celebrated as a collective triumph, signaling the beginning of a new era in Ondo State politics.

Looking beyond the victory, the Kalesanwa group emphasized the importance of reconciliation and unity to address the challenges ahead, including the main election and future governance. They urged the newly elected leader to embark on a thorough reconciliation drive, involving voices from all corners of society to ensure an inclusive government.

In a congratulatory message to the APC candidate, the group says: “It is in view of this that we will implore you to see the victory at the last primary as a collective victory for the people . The primary has come and gone and we have to now come together again to face the bigger challenges ahead, which are the main election and the other elections coming up in another two years.

“It would be most laudable if his Excellency could take this time to embark on aggressive reconciliation drive that will bring all dissenting voices back into the fold and assuage every frail nerves.

“Furthermore, we implore your Excellency to take a
thorough and selfless analysis of our society and co-opt all credible sons and daughters of our beloved State into your coming government.

“Let us sought the cooperation of men and women, people of all clans, of varying faith, religion, creed and class, friends, volunteers, the oppressed; who view the oppressors with disdain, the oppressors, who in turn see the oppressed as irritants; which resulted in a perpetual conflict that has made life in Ondo State a hell for the oppressed and a furnace for the oppressors”.

Central to their message was the need for economic revitalization, job creation, and youth empowerment, highlighting the dire situation of industries and unemployment in the state.

The Kalesanwa group called for a renewed commitment to good governance and unity among the people, echoing the sentiments of a better future for Ondo State.

As the state anticipates the next phase of political engagement, the Kalesanwa group remains steadfast in their dedication to supporting the government’s efforts to realize a brighter future for Ondo State.
