General Bolanle Ajayi, the First Female Army General in Ondo State, has extended her congratulations to Governor Hon. Lucky Aiyedatiwa on securing the All Progressives Congress (APC) candidacy for the upcoming November gubernatorial election in the state.

Governor Aiyedatiwa emerged victorious in the APC primary election held on April 20, 2024, surpassing 15 other contenders.

In her statement, General Ajayi expressed her felicitations, stating, “I congratulate Your Excellency, Governor Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa, for securing the party’s ticket after a closely contested primary election.”

She added, “Your victory will undoubtedly empower you to continue building on the solid foundation you have established. It also serves as evidence of your popularity among party members.”

Acknowledging the competitive nature of the election within the progressive family, General Ajayi emphasized the inevitability of a triumphant candidate.

Furthermore, as the second female Army General in the South West, she commended all contestants for displaying sportsmanship throughout the electoral process.
