Barely a week that the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) jailed popular Nigerian crossdresser, Bobrisky for naira abuse, the commission is set to arraign Pascal Okechukwu, also known as Cubana Chief Priest, before the Federal High Court in Lagos on April 17, 2024 over the same offence.

He was accused of spraying and tampering with Nigerian currency notes at a social event, a violation of the Central Bank Act of 2007.

According to the charge filed by the EFCC’s prosecutor, Rotimi Oyedepo, and seven other lawyers, Okechukwu Pascal is accused of tampering with N500 notes issued by the Central Bank of Nigeria during various social events. The charges detail instances in February 2024 and January 2020 where he allegedly engaged in the act of spraying money for extended periods, contravening the provisions of the Central Bank Act.

The EFCC’s swift action follows a similar case where popular cross-dresser, Idris Okuneye, also known as Bobrisky, was convicted on similar charges and sentenced to six months in priso
