.. Pays Condolence Visit to Widow


The former Governor of Imo State, His Excellency, Rt Hon. Emeka Ihedioha on Friday paid a condolence visit to the widow of late Rotimi Akeredolu, former Governor of Ondo State Her Excellency, Chief Betty Anyanwu-Akeredolu (Ada Owere I), in Emeabiam, Owerri West.

Akeredolu died  in December 2023 after a protracted battle with prostate cancer and was buried in February 2024.

Ihedioha said Akeredolu left an indelible legacy of courage, purposeful leadership and fearlessness.



He admonished Chief Betty Akeredolu to take solace in the fact that her late husband was a true Nigerian leader who rose to the echelon of his profession, led the Nigerian Bar Association, stood for his people and provided impactful leadership in Ondo State.

Ihedioha who was accompanied on the visit by Chief Rogers Nwoke and Chief Ifeanyi Nwachukwu  PDP Chieftains and other political associates charged Ada Owere to uphold the legacy of her late husband and prayed God to console the family he left behind.



Chief Betty Anyanwu-Akeredolu who was in Emeabiam for the traditional Mgbafu Mkpe rite for widow appreciated the former Governor and his team for the visit and wished them journey mercies  back to their destinations.
