Following the increasing rate of economic hardship causing misunderstanding at various homes, Nigerian women have been encouraged to be emotionally balanced to communicate love and show empathy for family sustainability.
These gestures would foster peace and unity in the family for a better society, state and the country at large.
The Special Adviser to the Ondo state Governor on Gender, Hon. Olamide Falana gave the admonition, while addressing the Nigeria Association of Women Journalists, NAWOJ at an event to mark this year’s St Valentine celebration at the NUJ Press center, Akure.
Falana expressed the importance of always maintaining the family communication in expressing the love needed, emotional need, challenge and achievements to keep loving which would guarantee peace of mind when the home is peaceful.

” It is important to show little emphathy but not to discomfort yourself entirely and our emotional balance is important to be able to give that balance to the society”
In her reaction, the Acting Permanent Secretary of the state Ministry Information and Orientation, Mrs Toyin Onisile described the occasion as a noble initiative, bringing them together as women.
She said, such Agape love should be extended to the vulnerables in the society pointing particularly to victims of Gender Based Violence GBV so that they can have sense of belongings.
Earlier, The State Chairperson of NAWOJ, Comrade Tola Gbadamosi noted the need for women to come together to talk about love due to the challenges they face with the high cost of living today.
“It is to remind ourselves that we are the community and the community makes a state and the state makes the nation because family begets a nation.”
” NAWOJians came together to ensure that we have a steady mentality in our community” she emphasized.
