..Aisha Bura emerges President, as Adeola Adekunle of Ondo becomes VP

Aisha Bura from Borno State has been elected the new President of the Nigeria Association of Women Journalists, NAWOJ.

Bura defeated the incumbent Ladi Bala to emerge the winner.

She was elected at the 11th Triennial Delegate Conference of NAWOJ, held in Abuja yesterday.

Bura lost against Ladi in 2020 at Minna, Niger State, but re-strategized and returned this year to achieve her dream.

Similarly, Adeola Adekunle of Ondo state NAWOJ won election into the position of Vice president B Zone.

Wasilan Ladan, emerged National Secretary of NAWOJ, Lillian Okonkwo emerged National Deputy President while other candidates on the Bura team won their elections.

Adeola Adekunle is a journalist working with Adaba FM Akure.
