The report was compiled by the Center for Fiscal Transparency and Integrity Watch (CeFTIW) in partnership with the MacArthur Foundation.

The index assessed transparency and accountability in public fund management and the implementation of public policies across all 36 states, considering six key areas: Accessibility, Open Budget, Public Procurement, Human Resources, Anti-Corruption, and citizen engagement.

The remaining 31 States should visit top-performing States to pick some lessons and also engage the Center for Fiscal Transparency and Integrity Watch (CeFTIW) to have a a better understanding of the level of their performance.
