A Non Governmental Organization led by Leah Akinfiresoye on Monday 16th October 2023 commemorated the International Day of the Girl Child.

The programme which had in attendance over 400 girls at Holy Saviour High School Ileoluji exposed the beneficiaries to education on their menstrual health, mental health, sexuality & dangers of drug abuse.

The Convener of the programme and Founder of Doltma Pearls Foundation, Leah Akinfiresoye stressed the advantages of investing in girls’ rights and their well being for everyone country that desires greatness.

Miss Leah, Author of Sex Education for Children & Pre-schoolers during her welcome address and interview with the press further called on well meaning Nigerians to invest more in the girl child including her rights and well-being. “When women are empowered, their countries become stronger and more prosperous”, she added.

The beneficiaries of the event through their principal, teachers and other staff members expressed their gratitude to the convener of the programme which they described as expository and impactful.
