A Yet-to-be identified boy has reportedly drowned on Monday evening in a river at Ogundipe/Ajipowo via Ondo Road in Akure.

Eyewitness told Hope Metro that the 14-year-old boy and his friends went to the river to swim.

He said his friends after noticing that he had drowned, took to their heels.

The landlords and passers-by according to the source clustered around the corpse waiting for the arrival of the police who were said to have been contacted.
