It was a moment of joy at the Ondo Command Headquarters of the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) as the Facilitators of Military, Police & Paramilitary Public Relation Officers Forum converged to celebrate the qualitative service and Promotion of the outgoing NDLEA PRO, WILSON EKECHUKWU who was promoted to the rank of Chief Superintendent of Narcotics and consequently transferred to Lagos State Command.

In his opening address, the Chief Facilitator, PPRO, DSP Tee-Leo Ikoro commended CSN Wilson for his active participation and selfless contribution to the growth of MILPOPPROF in Ondo State.

He described the celebrant as a dedicated and hard-working officer hence the well deserved Promotion. Wishing him more and more elevation as he takes up higher responsibilities in his new station.

While delivering the Goodwill messages, the representative of the NDLEA COMMANDER, Mrs Eno Titus Assistant Commander of Narcotics described the celebrant as a reliable, resourceful and very diligent officer, the representative of the PRO Correctional Service DSC Oyewole A.A said meeting the celebrant has affected his life positively because he is a good leader worthy of emulation.

In addition the 32 Artillery Brigade Nigerian Army Public Relation Officer who was represented by CPL. John Isikpoje said MILPOPPROF Ondo Chapter will definitely miss the celebrant because his contribution and selflessness are immeasurable.

In his response, CSN Wilson Ekechukwu appreciated the Forum for the honour bestowed on him; he further charged the Facilitators to unanimously sustain the tenents of the Forum which is centered on Es-spirit de Corps for National Security.

He said growth can be associated with living things so as the FORUM keeps growing; the level of Synergy among the Public Relation Officers in Ondo State should grow stronger and transend to eradicating all forms of Inter-agency rivalries or competition most especially amongst the rank and file.

He described “Challenges as raw materials for Champions hence in the discharge of our collective National duty of Protection of lives and properties; Synergy must be the watchword”.

The Send forth ceremony witnessed the Naming of the newly appointed NDLEA PRO, SN. M.A BANKOLE and presentation of Gifts to the Celebrant.


The Public Relation Officers from the following Agencies were conspicuously present at the occasion: Nigerian Army, Nigeria Police, Federal Fire Service, Nigeria Immigration Service, Nigeria Correctional Service and Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps.
