Barely one week after her award as “Ambassador for Women and Children Empowerment”, An Assistant Manager News, Nigerian Television Authority and Chairperson of the Nigeria Association of Women Journalists, NAWOJ, Ondo State, Mrs Doris Olumoko, has been honoured with another award of “Ambassador of Good Deeds”.

The Award was Presented to her by the National Council for Women Societies, NCWS, Ondo State, as parts of activities to mark the 2021 International Women’s Day.

Mrs Olumoko was honoured alongside five other outstanding Women for their various services to humanity.

Other recipients of “AMBASSADOR OF GOOD DEEDS” awards include the Chairperson of Federation of Female Lawyers, Mrs Bola Joel, A Gender Advocate, Mrs Olamide Falana, a Pharmacist, Mrs Ayoola Adegoke and Mrs Greg Adeniseun.

President of the National Council for Women Societies in Ondo State, Mrs Jumoke Aborode said the award recipients have distinguished themselves as agents of social change and are Outstanding in there various spheres hence their recognition and honour by the Council.

The recipients of the award thanked the NCWS for the honour and emphasized their commitment to do more in terms of Societal development, Gender Advocacy, Poverty Reduction among others.

Other activities by NCWS to mark the International Women’s Day include Free Medical Check Up, Eye Screening and distribution of Glasses, distribution of Facemasks, Sanitizers among others.
