The Church of Nigeria, Anglican Communion has suspended the Bishop of the Diocese of Ekiti West, The most Reverend Rufus Ajileye Adepoju.

The Bishop was suspended based on sex scandal.

The suspended Bishop was sanctioned for allegedly sleeping with the wife of a priest under his employment and care.

An allegation the Bishop had owned up to, according to the letter of suspension written to him.

The letter is dated 11th of December and signed by the prelate of the church Most Reverend Henry Ndukuba.
