As the political parties in Ondo State begin their party primary elections tomorrow in Ondo State, the Chief Imam of Akure, Sheikh (Dr) AbdulHakeem Yayi Akorede has called on all aspirants and their followers to shun acts that can be inimical to the peaceful coexistence of the people living in State.
The Cleric stressed that the contestants should have it at the back of their minds that only one person would emerge from the contests and that they can’t all be winners, noting that he whole nation is watching Ondo State.
In a press release issued by the cleric and made available to journalist, Akorede the aspirants and their supporters to participate in the election in a peaceful manner.
The religious leader in his candid advice said, “Let’s do it in a peaceful manner.The overall winner at the end of the game should have the humility and courage to invite other contestants for cooperation and collaboration so that Ondo State can peacefully move on with development which we all desire after the Governorship contest”.
