The Ondo State Eminent Persons Group (EPG) has observed with dismay the rantings of a certain Mr Ijawoye of the Rufus Giwa Polytechnic, Owo ditto the reaction of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) to the various allegations.

While it is necessary for stakeholders to know that the said Mr Ijawoye has an antecedent of fighting every management put in place by Government since he believes the Polytechnic is a personal property where he can do anything he likes unchecked, it is also pertinent to caution the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) not to play politics with serious administrative issues.

In a statement released by Mr. Taiwo Dada, Secretary, EPG, the group noted that the Banji Alabi led council has brought about great development strides since assumption of office and efforts are in top gear to do more.

“This campaign of calumny is expected from the group of people who have turned into a cabal in the institution and would do anything possible to resist the different reforms being carried out by the council.

“Ijawoye and his cohorts are fighting management because of certain elements they want as Principal officers thereby throwing away due process.

“Mr Banji Alabi is a successful lawyer who worked with a multinational oil firm for about 24 years and has done so well for himself. Accusing him of some petty theft in an institution he has been using personal resources and contacts to develop is not only unfair but uncharitable”, the statement reads.
