Information just reaching JATS Communications says that a six year old girl has just being raped in Irele, Irele Local Government area of Ondo State.

Sources from the general hospital in Irele reveals that the little girl is bleeding profusely and has been referred to the State specialist hospital in Okitipupa.

The Nigeria Association of Women Journalists, NAWOJ, in Ondo State therefore charges the Ondo State Police Command to Swing into action and bring the perpetrator to book.

A statement by the chairperson of the Association, Mrs Doris Olumoko says, “on no account should the culprit of this dastardly act be allowed to go unpunished.

“NAWOJ wants the abuser to be dealt with severely according to the law to serve as deterrent to others.

“The Association strongly condemns the incessant rape of minors and wonders if offenders are in their right senses as to sexually assault a minor of six years”.

According to information, the perpetrator of the act was identified as one notorious Jimmy.

In a telephone interview with with the state Police Commissioner, Undie Andie, he confirmed the incident to Ondo NAWOJ Chairperson and promised that the rapist will be arrested and dealt with.
