Super Eagles defender, Godfrey Oboabona has congratulated the team for picking a ticket in the 2nd round of the ongoing Africa Cup of Nations in Egypt.

Oboabona who won the AFCON in 2013, said the team’s performance in the opening games is highly commendable.

“The team worked so hard to earn victories in opening games against Burundi and Guinea, it can only get better”. He said.

The Gorica FC of Croatia defender urged all soccer loving Nigerians to continue their massive support for the team with the hope of rejoicing on the final day with the trophy.

“I know Nigerians are supporting the team to go all the way to the final and win the trophy, it’s our joy, our dreams and passion. So, the team needs everyone’s continued support and encouragement”.

He added that prayers and good luck will also play major roles in Nigeria’s success.
