A group named G10, comprising the past Local Government Chairmen in Ondo state has testified to the numerous impact that the Forum of the Wives of State Officials, FOWOSO’s initiative has brought to the lives of rural women since its inception.

The President of the group, Mr. Gani Omaluka gave the commendation when he led G10 members on a courtesy visit to the First Lady of Ondo State, Arabirin Betty Anyanwu-Akeredolu at the government’s house ground today.
He noted that the life-changing initiative projects of Mrs. Akeredolu like BEMORE, Solayo, FOWOSO have really turned around the lives of many vulnerable people across the state, especially women through empowerment.
Corroborating his testimony, the G10 President cited an example of a less-priviledged lady in Owo who now owns a business venture through the grinder she was given by FOWOSO, among many others.
He described the initiative as captivating in structure, very impactful and well-calculated, hence the need to appreciate Mrs. Akeredolu and thank her for influencing women in the state positively.
Highlighting the missions of the G10, the Public Relations Officer of the group, Mr. Fayowole Aworetan said G10 is committed to ensure that governor Oluwarotimi Akeredolu is re-elected come 2020 by mobilising the grassroots people to vote him for the second term.
Aworetan who disclosed that the group was set up immediately after the general elections, noted that the responsibility of ensuring the second term ambition of the governor lies on them, being the first group of people to benefit from him through appointment opportunity.
He affirmed that in few days time, G10 will publicly declare its support for the second term ambition of the governor, and will unveil the plans to achieve it.
In her response, Arabirin Akeredolu expressed gladness that FOWOSO received public commendation and that the its effects is appreciated, noting that this would spur her to forge ahead in organising life-changing initiatives, especially for the grassroot people.
She lauded their unflinching support for the current administration, noting that despite the fact that they are no more occupying an appointive positions, they still maintain their loyalty to the governor.
According to her, the only way that a society can develop is when governments come up with programmes that affect the lives of the people living in the rural areas, which is what FOWOSO stands for.
