Ondo State governor, Arakunrin Oluwarotimi Akeredolu, SAN, on has urged the management of the Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC) to ensure the completion of their abandoned projects in the state.

Akeredolu spoke during a courtesy visit by the management of the NDDC, led by its Managing Director, Professor Nelson Braimbraifa, at the Governor’s office, Alagbaka, Akure.

The governor, who thanked the NDDC for its intervention in tackling the deadly lassa fever disease in the state, said the state government is worried about a number of abandoned NDDC projects in the state.

The governor listed some of the projects to include the Ugbo/Arogbo Bridge and Irele – Sabomi Road among others.

The Governor, who noted that the construction of the Araromi – Lekki road is very important to his administration, urged the NDDC to ensure that the road is constructed.

The Governor also advocated a dual carriage road to link the state capitals of the nine states making up the NDDC.

Earlier, the NDDC boss, Professor Braimbraifa commended Governor Akeredolu’s commitment to developing the state.

He described the governor as a modest man whose style of governance has continued to attract encomium across board.
