The first Chairperson of the Nigeria Association of Women Journalists, Ondo State chapter, Mrs. Lara Olagboyegun, has been announced dead.

The former staff of the Nigerian Television Authority, NTA, Akure died at 58years old after a brief illness.

Information reaching JATS Communications says Late Fagboyegun who served as Chief Press Secretary to Mrs. Adefarati, hails from Akure the state capital.

According to the source of the information: ” She was the first State chairperson in 1989 while Bredan Akpan was the first National President of NAWOJ. They forth for NAWOJ to come to life.

“She was to be 59years old come November this year, retired as a broadcaster with the NTA Akure and was the Chief Press Secretary to wives of former Ondo state governors, Fasanya, Onyearubulem and Adefarati. She died after a brief illness.”
