The newly appointed Director of Publicity for the People’s Democratic Party, PDP, in Ondo State, Mr. Oluwadurotimi Akintoye has described his appointment as an opportunity to actualise his aspirations for the party and the state at large.

The Public Affairs analyst who spoke with JATS Communications upon his resumption to duty earlier today at the party’s secretariat, noted that the appointment is a call to serve the party.

According to him, he has been participating actively in politics for the past 10years and assured of his readiness to carry out the responsibility as expected.

Explaining why Akintoye was chosen to occupy the position, the former Director of Publicity who is now the Southwest Zonal Publicity Secretary, Mr. Ayo Fadaka described him as a seasoned technocrat, that was found suitable by the party.

“The party needs a Director of Publicity who indeed will be a technocrat that will manage the party’s information appropriately.

“For sometimes, that position has been vacant due to the fact that I that was occupying the position moved up to become the Zonal Publicity Secretary, then the need to put someone there becomes very relevant. To that extent, the party appointed Mr. Oluwadurotimi Akintoye and the appointment takes immediate effect”, he said.
