About an hour ago, a tanker containing petrol reportedly fell at Shagari area of Akure the Ondo state capital along Ilesa expressway.

An eyewitness who reported the incident to justambitioustoserve explained that the content of the tanker poured on the road and exploded and caused gridlock along the road as many vehicles were trapped inside the inferno while people were scampering for safety.

Meanwhile, around 7:30pm a fire extinguisher lorry was seen at Oke-ijebu roundabout on a high speed running to the venue of the inferno shouting “emergency, leave the road”.

As at the time of filing this report, no report of casualty has been given.
