
An Akure Chief Magistrate Court has remanded in Prison, Seidu Adeyemi, the alleged killer of Khadijat Oluboyo, daughter of ex-Deputy Governor of Ondo state, Alhaji Lasisi Oluboyo.
Seidu was remanded by Chief Magistrate BobManuel Victoria after he was arraigned by the police on a two Count charge of conspiracy and murder.
The police prosecutor, Sergeant Adebayo Mary told the court that since it was a murder case the court has no jurisdiction and pleaded for his remand in prison.
Counsel to the suspect, Taiwo Gbadebo did not oppose this application.
In her ruling, magistrate Bob Manuel ordered the remand of the suspect in Olokuta till the 23rd August 2018 for review pending advice from the director of public prosecution.
She also directed the police to hand over the original copies of his casefile to the ministry of justice.
The charge sheet reads:
That you Seidu Sakiru 27 and others at large on 2/7/2018 at about 7:30 pm at Aratusin str, Oke-Aro, Akure did conspire with one another to Committee felony to with murder contrary to sec 324 laws of Ondo State 2006.
2. Did kill one Khadijat Oluboyo 25, by strangulated her to death and burry her inside your room contrary to section 316 laws of Ondo state 2006.
Defence counsel, Taiwo Gbadebo did not object the motion moved by the prosecutor.
