ODSFA exonerates self from assault on match official

Chairman Ondo State Football Agency, ODSFA , Otunba Tajudeen Akinyemi says his agency has nothing to do with the ugly incidence at the Akure township stadium weeks ago that led to the 3points deduction from sunshine stars garnered points this season.

Akinyemi was reacting to reports making rounds that the management of his agency should be held responsible for the dastardly act.

” Its unfortunate that the state FA acted this way, ODSFA never harbour miscreants and won’t ever, it’s the sole responsibility of Ondo State Football Association to provide adequate security at our match venue ( home). So why blame ODSFA for your lapses?”

Otunba Akinyemi however exonerated the agency from the act and advised the FA to help security agencies in the state prosecute the “suspects” and stop shifting blames.

He advised football stakeholders not to relent in their efforts in supporting the team assuring them of sunshine stars success this season despite the storm.

Otunba Akinyemi commended efforts of the Hon Sports Commissioner in the state, Saka Yusuf Ogunleye in ensuring that activities of stewards and stadium boys are proscribed.

” The storm indeed is over, we’ve identified areas we need to work on and I can assure you sunshine stars and all other ODSFA teams will succeed this season with the support of all” he said.
