New year: SAF donates foodstuffs to Ondo widows

It was a moment of joy in Idoani axis of Ose Local government area of Ondo state, as Seun Alabi Foundation (SAF) distributed foodstuffs and cash to about 200 widows as part of its annual humanitarian service programme.

The exercise which was held on January 2, 2019 involved distribution of rice, vegetable oil and cash gift to those who couldn’t get foodstuffs as only 150 widows were budgeted but attendees surpassed the bugdet.

According to the Chief Executive Officer of SAF, Dr. Seun Alabi, the gesture is apolitical, but done out of his willingness to cater for the needy and give back to his fatherland.

The US based medical practitioner, who hails from Idoani, however carried out the gesture in absentia by giving the task to SAF volunteers to handle, while he took care of the expenses.

He did it to put smiles on the faces of the widows as new year package, rather than postponing it till he is present later in the year.

The beneciaries who could not hide their happiness started praying for the donor right at the venue of the programme, describing the gesture as one of its kind.

No fewer than 150 of them went home with a litre of vegetable Power Oil and a 5kg bag of rice while others were given cash.
