Hon. Princess Omowunmi Olatunji-Ohwovoriole, former Commissioner for Women Affairs and Social Development in Ondo State, has congratulated the government and the good people of Ondo State on the celebration of the 50th anniversary of the creation of Ondo State.

In her goodwill message, Hon. Princess Omowunmi described the Golden Jubilee as a historic milestone that reflects the resilience, unity, and progressive spirit of the people of the Sunshine State over the past five decades.

She noted that the journey of Ondo State since its creation has been defined by collective sacrifice, steady growth, and a shared vision for sustainable development.

She paid glowing tribute to past Governors and administrations for their effective and efficient delivery of governance, acknowledging their invaluable contributions to infrastructure development, education, healthcare, agriculture, and social welfare, which laid strong foundations for the state’s advancement.

The Akure Princess particularly commended the present administration of Governor Lucky Orimisan Ayedatiwa for its people-focused, compassionate, and purposeful leadership.

She highlighted the Governor’s commitment to infrastructure development across the state, including the construction and rehabilitation of major road networks, improved urban and rural connectivity, upgrades of healthcare facilities, enhancement of educational infrastructure, and strategic investments in public buildings and community-based projects that positively impact the lives of citizens.

According to her, these infrastructural interventions have strengthened economic activities, improved access to essential social services, and reinforced public confidence in governance across Ondo State.

She described Governor Aiyedatiwa’s performance as merciful, responsive, and development-driven, with clear results visible across the state.

She urged the people of Ondo State to remain united, peaceful, and supportive of government policies and programmes that promote inclusive growth and long-term development.

She also prayed for sustained peace, divine guidance, and greater prosperity for Ondo State as it moves confidently into the next fifty years.

“Happy 50th Anniversary to our beloved Sunshine State.
Together, we will continue to build an Ondo State of our dreams,” she concluded.
