The Council of Education Secretaries in Ondo State has applauded the recent Supreme Court judgement on the governorship election in the state, describing it as a victory that offers the administration an opportunity to deliver more dividends of democracy.

In a statement made available to JATS, the council congratulated Governor Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa, his deputy, Dr. Olaide Adelami, the state Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Engr. Ade Adetimehin, and other party leaders on the resounding victory.

Chairman of the council, Dr. Omololu Adedini, noted that the verdict has finally laid to rest the legal tussle which had served as a major distraction to governance. He expressed optimism that the governor would now be able to concentrate fully on delivering good governance to the people of the state.

Adedini appealed to political gladiators and stakeholders across Ondo State to join hands with the current administration in its efforts to transform various sectors, with particular emphasis on education.

The council further charged education stakeholders to be more proactive in their duties to justify the significant investments being made by the present administration in the sector.
