The Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Ondo State, Engr. Ade Adetimehin, has expressed deep sorrow over the death of a former federal commissioner and one-time lawmaker, Chief (Mrs.) Cecelia Ifayase.
In a statement released on Sunday, July 27, 2025, by the party’s Publicity Secretary, Alex Kalejaye, Adetimehin described the late politician as “a committed and consistent progressive” who served her people with genuine dedication and left a lasting impact.
Ifayase, who represented Ondo West Constituency I in the Ondo State House of Assembly during the administration of former Governor Adebayo Adefarati, was hailed for her contributions to the welfare and development of her constituency.
While mourning her passing, Adetimehin noted that her death was a painful loss to the progressive family and the Ondo APC.
He extended heartfelt condolences to her immediate family, the people of Ondo Kingdom, and members of the APC across the state.
The party chairman also offered prayers for the peaceful repose of her soul, asking God to forgive her shortcomings and grant her eternal rest.
