A 40 year old woman, Lusanda Coboza, and her 19-year-old daughter, Anelisa Hailie-Jade Coboza, 19 have been killed.

The South African woman and her daughter were shot dead in their home in Sakhasonke Village, Walmer Location, Gqeberha.

Advocacy group, Women for Change, disclosed this in a statement on Monday, May 12, 2025.

The incident occurred on 1 May 2025. Their funeral was held on Saturday, May 10, in Soweto.

According to police, officers responded to reports of gunfire in the Walmer Location. Upon arrival, they discovered Hailie-Jade and her mother with multiple gunshot wounds.

Both were pronounced d3ad at the scene.

The suspects fled, but four men, aged between 28 and 46, were arrested shortly after the horrific m8rders.

Police are investigating cases of conspiracy to commit murder, murder, and possession of an unlicensed firearm and ammunition.
