Barely a week after the demise of the Olujigba of Ijigba community in Akure South local government area of Ondo State, Late Oba Luyi Rotimi,  Princess Oyewunmi Rotimi Akinbosotu has been enthroned as the Regent of Ijigba.

The vibrant ceremony, rich in tradition and community pride, attracted an impressive array of distinguished guests and dignitaries.

Representing the Akure South Local Government Chairman, Hon. Adeola Rosemary Fynch conveyed the council’s unwavering support for the new regent. The event was graced by notable figures including Prince Bola Rotimi, Head of the Rotimi Family, and Prince Lanre Rotimi, the esteemed Crown Prince Chief.

The gathering also featured Chief and Chief Mrs. Richard Akinbosotu, Chief Mrs. Adekanye (Erelu of Akure), High Chief Sunday Ilesanmi (the Elemo of Ijigba), and numerous traditional and honorary chiefs, all of whom came together to offer their blessings and support.

Adding a spiritual dimension to the occasion, Pastor Olubola of Christ Apostolic Church (CAC), Ijigba, delivered prayers for the new regent’s prosperous reign. Mr. Michael Akinbosotu, along with a circle of close friends from Lagos, lent their presence to the celebration, showcasing the robust support for HRH Oyewumi Rotimi Akinbosotu.
