..implores Widow to Sheathe Sword and Embrace Peace

On the first anniversary of the passing of the late Governor of Ondo State, Arakunrin Oluwarotimi Akeredolu SAN, CON, Mr. Moyosola Niran-Oladunni has paid tribute to his legacy while emphasizing his impact on the state.

In a statement, Niran-Oladunni highlighted the significance of Akeredolu’s life, acknowledging his triumphs and imperfections while celebrating his commitment to Ondo State’s progress.

According to him, the incumbent governor, Lucky Aiyedatiwa, is Akeredolu’s greatest legacy, having been chosen as his deputy. He described Aiyedatiwa’s emergence as Akeredolu’s successor as one of the late governor’s fulfilled purposes.

His words: “Akeredolu has conquered the battles of this wicked world to rest. While alive as a human being, he must have had his own shortcomings, but he fulfilled one of the purposes of his living, which was ensuring Lucky Aiyedatiwa became the governor of Ondo State. Every human being has a purpose for a fellow being. Aiyedatiwa would become Akeredolu’s greatest legacy.”

Reflecting on the political atmosphere following Akeredolu’s demise, Niran-Oladunni addressed the reactions surrounding Mrs. Betty Anyanwu-Akeredolu, the late governor’s widow, describing the developments as “human political reactions.”

Niran-Oladunni, a co-contestant with Akeredolu in 2016 gubernatorial election, appealed to Mrs. Akeredolu to prioritize peace and reconciliation with all parties by avoiding unnecessary quarrels, emphasizing that fostering harmony would contribute to the peaceful memory of her husband’s legacy.

“I will enjoin Mrs. Akeredolu to allow her husband rest well by embracing peace with everyone,” he urged.
